MATH 241 - Calculus I

END OF SEMESTER INFORMATION

The Final Exams have been graded.

You can look up your (raw) final exam score by clicking this sentence.

The scores ranged from 5 to 118 (out of 130 possible), interestingly this is both true for my sections and for all the Math 241 classes together. The curve I will be using for this exam is:

A105 B79 C50 D30

A reminder that your final exam grade is not your semester grade, which is made up from all your midterms, your final, your quizzes, and classwork in your discussion section, as described in the syllabus. I am in the process of calculating those grades right now (Monday afternoon).

I will not post semester grades, you will need to look them up at MyUH when they are released (maybe Wednesday?). I also cannot discuss grades by email, but I am available for appointments to discuss them.

May 1 These last 2 days are devoted to working problems. I suggest for Monday you come prepared with questions about the homework from sections 6.1, 6.2, and the following sections from the collection of review problems I linked below:

Section11: Rules of Integration
Section 12: Riemann Sums
Section 13: Areas Between Graphs and Volumes

May 3 Continuing review. I suggest we focus on the following from the review problems (in this order:

Section 10: Discussion of Curves
Section 9: Optimization Problems
Section 8: Related Rates
Section 1: Limits

I assume you're all pretty good at this point on sections 4 and 5, you can probably handle the rest on your own (or with our help in office hours, with the emporium, with your friends, etc over the week)
