Note on Homework

The information on this page is relevant only for the section of Math 244 taught by Prof. Guentner.

If you are in another section you may still find the page useful although precise dates and homework assignments differ somewhat for the other section of Math 244..

Course Syllabus

The course is the fourth in the standard calculus sequence, following 241 - 243. The topics is integral calculus of two and three variables, culminating with Green's Theorem, Stokes' Theorem and the Divergence Theorem. These generalizations of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus (which you all remember from M241!?) are really the heart of the course.

This means that we will be covering most of Chapters 16 and 17 of the textbook, with a few sections from earlier chapters dealing with polar, cylindrical and spherical coordinates thrown in. We will try to maintain a rate of approximately one section per class period, but will slow down somewhat if this proves to be too ambitious.
