Math 242-3 Lab- Dr. Ross' class
Text:          Calculus Early Vectors, James Stewart, Brooks/Cole 1999.
Lab description:  The lab section of this class will take two distinct forms, both of which are intended to supplement the lecture material.  The first will be using the program Derive to solve calculus problems, graphing in particular, on a computer.  The second will be more traditional wherein I will do extra problems on the board and answer questions about the written homework.  I will try to divide my time equally between these two forms, but it will vary week by week.  There will be no lab assignment in the first week.
Lab Accounts:    You will need a lab account to use the computers in the lab, PSB 208.  I will give this out in the first tutorial.

Grading Grades will be assigned solely based on the computer lab assignments handed in. This grade will represent 10% of your final grade for Math 241.
Grades Check your lab grades here. Please do this periodically to ensure that my records match yours. Any errors found after final grades are submitted will not be changed. Check often, especially just before finals.
Lab and Derive Link Click here to reach the Math Department's home page. The Derive links can be found by clicking on the Undergraduate button, then on the Computer Lab button.
Tutor Room The Math Dept. pays several senior undergraduate students to help you with your homework. This takes place in PSB 315 and should be of great assistance to you. The hours for this service are posted as a link from the Lab Schedule.
