Reading
In this class we use the book
  • J. Hass, M. Weir, G. Thomas University Calculus, alternate edition Pearson-Addison-Wesley
We cover the material from Chapters 14, and 15 from the book.
The book is really unavoidable, and cannot be replaced with another calculus textbook!
    Course Objective
To learn basic concepts, techniques and applications pertaining to multiple integrals and integration in vector fields.
    Prerequisites
A grade of C or higher in Math 243 or consent.
    Grading Policy
The course contains a combination of concepts, ideas and techniques. To understand the material means to be able to apply it in solving problems. At the end of the day, your grade will reflect your ability to solve specific calculus problems. More specifically, the following rules are to be taken.

  • Final exam will take place on ??? and will count for 40% of the final grade. The exam is cumulative (it covers all the material). There will be no make-ups for the final.

  • Mid-term test, which covers the material of Chapter 14 and counts for 30% of the final grade.

  • Quizzes will be given approximately bi-weekly, and the average grade for the quizzes counts for 30% of the final grade.

The following are not part of the grading scheme:
