Advanced Placement (AP) At UHM

The University of Hawaii will grant the following waivers and/or credits on the basisof the CEEB Advanced Placement Examinations; the credits granted are subject to change,so please consult an academic advisor for updated information.  The mathematics credits listed below are current as of December 8, 2008.

Mathematics Calculus AB 3 No credit is earned but the student may enroll in Math 215 or Math 241 without taking a mathematics assessment examination.
Mathematics Calculus AB 4 No credit is earned, but the student may enroll in Math 215, 241, 242 or 251 (the last requires the consent of the Associate Chair, who will interview the student) without taking a mathematics assessment examination.
Mathematics Calculus AB 5 4 credits are earned for Math 241, and the student may enroll in Math 242 or Math 252 (the last requires the consent of the Associate Chair, who will interview the student).
Mathematics Calculus BC 3 4 credits are earned for Math 241, and the student may enroll in Math 242, but not Math 252.
Mathematics Calculus BC 4 4 credits are earned for Math 241, and the student may enroll in Math 242 or Math 252 (the last requires the consent of the Associate Chair, who will interview the student).
Mathematics Calculus BC 5 8 credits are earned for Math 241 and 242, and the student may enroll in Math 243 or Math 253 (the last requires the consent of the Associate Chair, who will interview the student).
Music Theory 3-5 3 credits for Mus 108
Music Listening & Lit 3-5 3 credits for Mus 106
Physics B 3-5 8 credits for Phys 151 & 151L, 152 & 152L
